zend_extension = /usr/lib64/php/modules/ZendOptimizer.so
;zend_extension = /usr/local/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so
needs to be:
zend_extension = /usr/local/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so
zend_extension = /usr/lib64/php/modules/ZendOptimizer.so
in that order, and ensure the source files are compilied for your OS

this would be for php 5.2.x
php 5.1 would need ioncobue 5.1 to match
