UK setup fees are low, you can have a limited company with only 100 shares of £1 each. You need a lawyer or someone as a secretary who is a resident there.
I have a holding company in the UK and payed around £500 to get it setup and pay a yearly fee of £250 for all services needed to run it. Just note that this company doesn't really have any activity other than it owns other UK companies.
But it's still a hell of a lot cheaper than my DK companies where you need to put down £8000 in starting capital to get a "Ltd."
