Yeah yeah keep it cleaned and it won't jam. Bullshit. I have talked to many soldiers from the recent wars, they all same the same thing. Jams jams jams. If the shit hits the fan and I pick up a AR15 there is a possibility it will jam on me when it counts. With a AK47 there is no chance of this happening.

It looks like they put the AR15 style rail system on this AK. About time.
The only time I have ever had an AR jam on me is when it was either not properly maintained or put together wrong.

Yes, AK's are more reliable but in order to accomplish this, they are made a lot looser. Meaning they are sloppy and considerably less accurate. AK's are also not held to the same specifications, again because they are typically built sloppy.

In some aspects, an AR can take a hell of a lot more abuse. For example, if you drop an AR from standing height, you are not going to risk breaking it. On the flip side, two weeks ago I was messing around with an the AK Slide Fire stock and one of the AK's fell over while leaning against a wall. It put a small dent in the receiver cover and after that, the gun would not cycle correctly.

You can throw both guns in the mud and then they will both shoot. The difference is the AK will now be full of mud where the AR is built tight enough to not even let the mud in.

Full auto AK's are great in the jungle when you want to throw a lot of lead and don't care about accuracy. In the semi-automatic world, I'll take an AR over an AK any day of the week.

There have been "AR15" style rails available for the AK for the last decade. Nothing new about that.

Lastly, I can't stand the way an AK shoots. It's a matter of personal opinion.
