The reason your 3k profiles are not worth $5 a pop is that they are FREE members and probably not very active on a site with only 3k members.
How long has the site been up?
How many users are male? Female?
What are their age range?
Where are they located?
Do you do any ongoing marketing to the users?
What software are you using?
