Depending on how much money he has access to he could find a place to hide. He would have to locate a country that doesn't extradite to the US or NZ then he would have to strike a deal with them to grant him some kind of citizenship and/or asylum. A lot of third world countries are corrupt enough that he might be able to buy a citizenship. Then he could just charter a boat and float somewhere where he could catch a plane to his new home.

Of course there are complications. Who knows how much money he still has access to plus in countries where you can buy your way in they just might shake you down again or the government could get overthrown and you get killed or tossed out.

He could also just slip away quietly and go live somewhere on the down-low. He might have to move around periodically, but if he has access to enough money he could do that. I saw a story a while back about a guy who was convicted of murder in Philly. He escaped out of the country before the end of his trial and lived a pretty normal life for 35 years. When they finally caught him he was living in a small town in France, was married and had a job. Nobody that lived there ever suspected he was a wanted man.

All of this is likely moot though because I would assume the amount of cash he could get his hands on is pretty small.
