The thing that will annoy them most is seeing you happy and contented, by acting happy and contented you will become so.
They have a problem with you, something about what they see makes them feel bad about themselves. They see something in you that makes them realize what they don't have. When you're not there they forgot about this. Maybe it's your full head of hair, though more seriously, the fact you get to work at home could be a big part of the problem they have.
