Go to Nordstrom and ask the personal shoppers about some of the "successful" people they deal with. There are some ugly stories.
The few extremely wealthy people I know are cool and down to earth, but similar personalities were the mutual attraction. There is no shortage of arrogant pricks though.
What I hate more than arrogance is misplaced arrogance. Like the South Florida boys who drive $100k sports cars but live in a $800 a month apartment. They spend their whole paycheck on their image.
