also the $2k iMac I used for my $5 example is actually a very EXPENSIVE model compared to the rest of their line-up

these are the base models for each serie.. for a normal home user who wants a desktop the obvious choice would be the $1200 iMac with 21.5 inch sreen
so , if we are going to have a discussion about apple, I don't think it should be about price
