I am not an apple fan boy , I do however use Macs , but I also use windows.. for some things I prefer OSX some things prefer Windows.. that said

this is the standard 27inch iMac, it costs $2k

If i would have to buy a new one once a year it translates to a cost of $5 a day

I understand poor people can not spend $5 a day on computing , but your average professional user ( anyone with a job ) should be able to afford this IMHO
