Side tracking the thread.
This IMO has led to the decline of the porn industry as much as many other things. It saturated the online porn business with people who didn't have much more than an Internet connection and elementary skills to submit, put up sites, etc. Didn't lead to more porn spending by consumers and could of led to less, with most of them giving away free porn.
Everything else in business takes more to get in and a lot more to succeed. Even getting a job at MacDonalds requires them to leave their Mum's basement everyday and turn up for work on time.
