They first started suing based on a transfered right to sue, which the courts recognized wasn't valid. You can't transfer just the right to sue for infringement of a copyright, you have to transfer the copyright and then sue for infringement.
Realizing that model they asked for the transfer of the copyright, or exclusive right (similar to what john Steele is doing)
Well they lost some key rulings, and were awarded damages (legal court cost, etc)
and they didn't pay that money, so now the transferred copyright have been given to a receiver to be sold.
Basically the copyright trolls cost their copyright customers their copyright.
Hence the ha ha.
Funny thing is many of the people using the sue them and we will take a percentage schemes are facing the same liability.
