Should Women Be Allowed In Gay Bars?

I don't know if this was mentioned here before, but have you read this?

How should this be the case when in a lesbian bar, there's no real sausage allowed in the premises? Or else, he would be forcefully eighty-sixed.

Bananaguide even took a poll about this issue.

Quote:
Wang's, a gay bar in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood, is being investigated by the state's Department of Human Rights for allegedly banning female customers during its busiest hours.

The bar posts a drink menu that also states "Men Only After 11 p.m."

"Businesses within our neighborhood should be accommodating and respectful towards all patrons," Chicago Alderman Tom Tunney said.

"Anyone who believes they were denied or refused the full and equal enjoyment of the services of any bar or restaurant because of their sex or other protected category under the Act should contact the Illinois Department of Human Rights," explained Illinois Department of Human Rights spokesman Mike Claffey.

The owner would not comment on the allegation.
What do you think? Is it lawful not to allow women in a gay bar?
