The sky is not falling. However,

Quote:
The Secretary of each agency ... shall plan for and issue regulations to prioritize and allocate resources ... under both emergency and non-emergency conditions.
The president DID just declare that the government can take and allocate all resources even without an emergency.

That IS pretty fucked up, and unconstitutional. It's also exactly the kind of thing one would expect from a president who says he is "remaking America". Some think our elected officials should protect America, that they should be conservators of our republic, caretakers of our public institutions and public funds. You may agree with that view, or you may not. Obama has made clear he does NOT believe that. He believes his job is to "remake America" into a different kind of nation entirely, to "transform America", not to support and grow what we know as America. When you intend to transform the country, to remake it, absolute authority over alll goods and services comes in very handy.

Remake it into what? "Transform America" into what kind of country? What was he taught that a country should be? "I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors." He was taught by the marxist professors he sought out. So what kind of country does he plan to remake America into? He's said he plans to transform the country, in what way does a man who was careful to avoids white people and moderate blacks, sticking only with "activist" blacks and marxists, seek to transform the country?
