Meanwhile on the front page of CNN.com today they had a story about a guy who spent 18 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, was released and got a whopping $2,500 upon his release, which was actually money he earned working at his job in the prison or that was sent to him by other people.
I'm not saying the Afghan families don't deserve something, but it makes me wonder when we don't hesitate to compensate them, but balk a compensating an american who was wrongly accused and convicted of a crime.
