I would take the offers in the thread and pick some brains! Delicious brains! sorry, slightly zombied out there.
Maybe your niche is still too general? Instead of sneakers, how about all terrain air cooled hiking shoes. Instead of tents, how about single person lightweight easy to set up tent for backpackers.
