I know they check the traffic and BLOCK the sites for the whole China, but if I access the back office that would be like a "normal user" and I imagine there are millions of people accessing "not blocked" porn sites (there are many, only 30% of adult sites are blocked there, i believe, I accessed GFY from China also) so that would be a "not risky" action? About living in Beijing, I know it's not the best, but it's where i must go now. I loved Shanghai (great city with super night life) and I am going to prospect Honk Kong and.. MACAU - Which is great because the official papers in there are also in portuguese, and I speak portuguese.
I guess after learning chinese I can dedicate to marketing and SEO in China (in one year). I will work there in the import/export area, but I want to keep in touch with the "online biz", so if you guys have any interest in China, let me know, maybe we can do biz It's a great place to make money!! |
its pretty ok to just access your backoffice especially with a VPN.. all expats in China use VPN services to circumvent all the blocked sites... like you probably know FB , Twitter, Youtube, and a bunch of other normal mainstream sites are blocked in China so you need a VPN for that
but even without a VPN it should be fine to access non blocked porn sites... they are not going to arrest you for looking at porn .. the only thing they will arrest you for is running adult sites on chinese servers or marketing sites towards a chinese speaking audience
so whatever you do, don't start translating your sites into chinese to try and get some $$$ out of chinese surfers this could potentially get you into a lot of problems if you are living in china
