The Glock 21SF has less perceived recoil than their .40 cals. It's also considerably easier to rack the slide. Best of all, you can put a .50GI conversion on it.
The problem with the C models is that if you shoot them in low light conditions, you only get one fast accurate shot. The flash from the compensator can and will blind you. It may only be for a second or two but that's enough time to lose the battle.
