When I was a kid we were taught to turn over found money to the police. There's nothing stupid about it and it's not hard to understand. It's was ignorant her for not realising the world is not what she thought, and thats all there is to it. NEXT time if she does it, it'll be stupid now that she's learned the lesson.
Not everyone grew up in the times when people were so cynical. People used to look out for each other, it's part of history now.
