Nothing about that story makes sense.
Someone doesn’t just leave a 12.000 tip at the Fryn' Pan restaurant in to go box. My guess is it was some kind of shady business deal gone wrong so she panicked and left. I also doubt that the waitress didn’t open the box before she ran after the person. More than likely she saw the cash before she ran out to stash umm “return" it.
There could have been untold amount of money in there and for fear of being involved in a crime they may have pulled out $12,000 and brought it to the cops. Maybe they were afraid it was counterfeit or even terrorist loot. I just strongly doubt they turned in the full amount. If they did they have to be complete morons.
