An empty field has a certain amount of value, one that is cultivated to grow crops, or mined for minerals has more value, when those crops or minerals are processed they have more value, etc, etc, etc... right up the point of an Ipad. Wealth is not finite, if you come up with a service or product that has value, or a method that increases the value of a product or service, more wealth is created.
