The problem here seems to be that people cannot accept the right to defend property. And the use of the stand your ground law. Has anyone seen the Martin kids tweets? Are those real or fake?
Ask yourself, if a kid came up on you, bigger than you, and started pounding you, and you were armed. You would walk away, pray to God or shoot him??? Me? I would warn him I was armed and tell him to back off. If he doesn't, he's dead. No matter the color.
Interesting that the media is starting the race war Manson always wanted. lol.

Here is the problem. Zimmerman inserted himself into the situation when he didn't need to. He saw someone he thought was suspicious, stopped his car and called the police. That suspicious person (Trayvon Martin) looked at Zimmerman then took off and ran away. At this point Zimmerman followed the kid. You can hear all of this on the 911 call. The dispatcher gets the info and tells him the police are on their way. Zimmerman tells them the guy is running and when asked if he is pursuing them he says yes. The dispatcher tells him that they don't need him to do that and even encourages him to return to his car and wait for the police.
Zimmerman opted to act beyond what was needed. He saw someone suspicious, stopped and made the call to the police. That person took off. If Martin was thinking about breaking into that house before he wasn't once he saw Zimmerman and when the cops arrived and looked around the area they may have found him or likely scared him off (again assuming he was even going to do something illegal). It should have been over here. It is ultimately very hard for Zimmerman to say he was scared for his life and acting in self defense when he made the conscious choice to pursue and confront the suspicious person. Had he gotten back in his car and waited for the police he would have gone home that night like normal and all would have been fine. He decided to play crime stopper and he took an unarmed kids life. I think he will eventually go down for this.
