Ah, unfamiliar with the assortment of talent available on POF.com. I had my hand in the OKcupid.com pool for a few months a while back. Sent a few dozen messages here and there to women in my area, and ended up going on a handful of dates with two different individuals. Neither struck me as crazy, it just didnt work out.
I did a good job of weeding out the crazies early on the in the message exchange part of it all, and promptly hit delete when I would get messages about "Where do you see yourself in a year? married? children on the way?" Back off lady, I just want to get some cheeseburgers and a few beers. Pump the brakes!
