I don't think people just go to Facebook and don't ever surf anything else. I think they go to FaceBook AND surf everything else too.
Heck right now I have Facebook open in another tab. 
GFY in one tab, FB in one tab, and the online admin to one of my sites in another tab. And I'm going back and forth between tabs and I'm about to open my bank account on a new tab to check my balance.

. Since it has been triangulation confirmed that social media are the new marketing territories I suppose that could be the explanation. Perhaps the way they arrive at the destination has changed.
