I have 3 things to say to you

1. keep away from MediaTemple - their service is crappy and support is bunch of dumb fucks
2. always make backups of your sites and system that are easy to migrate and install on new box if current one fails.
3. never shut down old box until new one is up and running with site moved to it for 3 days without issues.
