Maybe you can't see the difference as to why it's easier, faster, cheaper (even no cost) to copy materials today than during VCR days (and one of the reason why file-sharing is at epidemic levels) . But most of us can.

That method gives the pirate one copy. The Internet version allows people to distribute 1,000s. Or more.
