What more proof do you want?
Because it doesn't work and is a waste of time and money.
Provide a better service. iTunes and Netflix have proven this is a far more effective strategy. And it is making them a great deal of money.

Damian, governments throughout the world spend billions on their law enforcement, are you advising them that they should stop this silly nonsense because "it just wont work".
We have police forces, prosecutors, Judges, courts, penal systems, but hey we still have crime !!!
Dont worry folks - Damian has a much better idea. All we need is much better distribution systems based on iTunes then all of the silly law breaking will go away. We just need better ways to give our property to the thieves then they wont have to steal it. Not sure how that is going to work for rape or domestic violence, but hey it will be so much better than wasting all this resource when it just does not work.
Actually what we really need is Damian as International Minister of Justice. These forward thinking policies will "cure" crime at a stroke. All you need to do is take your "proof" to the powers that be and you will be sorted. How could they refuse to appoint you, it is a no brainer. No more crime and a huge profit - sounds like a vote winner to me !
Damian, your argument is ridiculous and you make a fool of yourself whenever you start this nonsense. You are probably committing career suicide as well.
