Man its so simple. It's like the colombians producing coke. They are sources. The street dealer is like your file sharer. If the colombians produce nothing=dealers have no coke to sell. You can not compare sources to file sharers its not the same thing.
Now if you hit pirate payments you hit the sources of profitable piracy=no more fresh quality releases. Will this stop piracy dead? NO. Will it cripple piracy profits hard? YES.
You see when all pirate sites have to offer is old shit like 2-3 year old movies the whole scene will lose popularity and profitability. I know this because it happened to warez profits a long time ago. It NEVER returned to what it was financially and quality speaking simply because the big sources got hit. YES there is still warez but its a pathetic shadow of what it used to be...
