bullshit i can use a vcr to record television shows. If you bought a betamax machine it came with 2 1 hour tapes. So you had everything out of the box to record content (which the copyright holders argued was infringement).

or that is legal for you to download becuase you live in a country that doesn't have anti caming laws
or who has ruled that violating geographic restrictions is fair dealings (like canada)
or has recognized access shifting ..
or who has recognized the right to use the swarm as a vcr.
the exact same content could be infringing and non infringing at the same time. and geo restrictions

nothing they just provided the service to the
the content industry invented encoding schema that required added coruption data into the system when copied without a special copying machine.
They handed the vcr the encoding techology for playing only.
They did the work of finding the solution to the problem
The vcr did absolutely nothing to block access too.
it your fucking content, if you want it blocked develop the technology that can do it.
