Sure, it won't be 100% effective but at least they would be making a good faith effort to stop what they know to be illegal downloading. The reality is The Pirate Bay doesn't care. They are making millions off of pirating and they aren't going to stop on their own.

coyright law gives rights to citizens not to citizens who happened to be in a geographic location
re read the copyright act it does not say these fair use rights only apply while your with in the borders of the united states.
so your little geo location blocking would deliberately and wilfully take away my fair use rights.

Regardless, it is good to see that you admit that the Pirate Bay is not the VCR. Since that is the case they no longer deserve you using the VCR examples to defend them.

bald face fucking lying again
i never said the pirate bay was not a vcr
in fact i pointed out how the vcr did as much as the pirate bay does to stop piracy (absolutely nothing)
i pointed out how sony give you 100% of the tools necessary to infringe (or at least what the copyright holder claimed was infringement)
i pointed out how some countries have already established that copyright holders claims that it is infringement are bullshit (just like the vcr did with the US supreme court)
And you bald face lie and claim that i am admitting the pirate bay is not a vcr.
3 distinct examples of the pirate bay being even more like a vcr and you claim the exact opposite
you are a scum bag.
