This, I think, is the basic difference between conservatives and progressives. Progressives look at what's wrong and try to improve things. Witness their attempt to completely replace the entire healthcare system with a proposal that was not only untested, but unread. They were pushing to throw out everything they could about the current system, replacing it with a bill THEY HADN'T EVEN READ. Apparently they thought ANYTHING must be better then America as it is now.
