In fact, it increases traffic to the pirate sites, because of the huge publicity the site gets from all the mass media coverage.
Do think increasing traffic to piracy sites is a good thing? I don't. Do you think it will do anything to stop piracy? Of course not. For a variety of reasons 1) Torrents were the cool thing 5 years ago, now, not so much 2) The site is already mirrored several times 3) There are approx 2398239823 torrent tracker people could use instead.
Please point where I am wrong.
Or just call me an idiot and do another line of blow. Whatever is easier.
Seems no one ranting and calling me names is capable of assembling anything vaguely resembling a counterpoint.

So, if Pirate Bay says they got 12 million more hits, it must be true. I can accept that, they would never lie; but even if they got a traffic spike it does not necessarily mean that everyone immediately started downloading content. Additionally, suggesting that prosecuting downloaders increased piracy or the three strike law increased piracy means if they had done neither piracy would have decreased or stayed the same and that is not true because it is always increasing.
