No?
Don't see how that stops anyone buying a DVD, ripping it and uploading it?
Still don't see what is stopping someone buying a brand new DVD and ripping it. Why are you mentioning 3 year old movies?

The DVD
for the general public to buy comes out months after the movie premiere...people want to watch the new avengers NOW not in a few months when the DVD comes out...pro sources get rips of preview DVDs or they have means of making a great copy from cinema...this is where the money is...this is what drives people to piratebay.org not some shitty 3 year old movie...new and fresh shit...without pro sources the pirate bay will be much less popular...you can not argue that people come to the pirate bay to get stale shit...90% of the traffic wants new hollywood releases...if they cant get this, because sources finances got fucked, then the piratebay.org will take a massive hit in traffic...

You can still get warez but nowhere near the same quality as before. Look lets make this really simple lets take just one title for example, auto-cad form autodesk, its a CAD program used by many, when the new release used to come out people would not only want a cracked version but a WORKING cracked version....the version must work with many types of PC configuration and graphic cards, cracks usually work only with the hardware the hacker had...a quality crack is not the same as any crack...just like a DVD rip can be in good or bad quality...
I will agree with you that you can find any TITLE on IRC or whatever...but a WORKING title that is fresh and current this is another story...you are only seeing a shadow of what it used to be...
my whole point is: piracy will never be stopped completely but if you cripple the sources you cripple most of piracy....
