if i was able to show an artist who got a record deal with 25k advance how to make 75k with kickstarter/ give it away /pay me if you like it model.
that would be a great deal for the artist
however a really bad deal for the record company
under that deal the record company is expecting to sell 500k in albums and keep it all (because the advance has to be paid back).
why don't i do that
because the record company makes more money by screwing the artist over
I don't care if they screw over the artist they represent, those artist choose to get screwed over.
