Lots of people are against things that don't directly effect them in anyway. I'm against racism. Doesn't effect me, but I am passionately against it - went on loads of demos. I was against fox hunting. Didn't effect me in the slightest.
I don't like the idea of giving the government the ability to censor sites that they decide are unsuitable. As someone that makes a living working in porn, I can see that if a different government gets in, porn could be blocked too. It sets precedents of control I disagree with. See China as an example.
