And that isn't a counterpoint. A counterpoint is something that take my point and makes a case why it is wrong.
So, the mass media coverage has generated them traffic and revenue and the block takes 2 seconds to get around and there are a gazillion other sites. Why do you think giving pirates money is good, unles you're a pirate or get financial benefits from piracy?
Answer my question.
Your deflection seems to confirm your guilt.

So you take a valid counterpoint, that blocking TPB is a step in the right direction and refuse to answer. OK we see through you.
I don't think the media coverage decreased TPB's traffic for now. I think the blocks when in place will reduce it.
Once they block this site, they can continue to block other sites. As those measures are seen to be ineffective, they will step up the measures. That's the way fighting crime has always worked.
Should measures to stop cyber crime, like, fraud, terrorism and pedophiles, etc, be updated or not?
Now answer my questions, or show you don't want to.

It did nothing to stop Newzbin2. The access to that was blocked about 18 months ago.

Right, so we agree, it won't achieve anything and will give TPB publicity, traffic and revenue.
