One quick thing -- I know one of Shelly's peers, as in an ex-porno peer. They were working the circuit together. She maintains Shelly's biggest reason for being pissed at porn was she didn't make.
She tried, didn't get the fame and fortune she sought, didn't become a Nina Hartley or a Ginger Lynn, wasn't booked much...so she turned against it.
Makes perfect sense.
