kind of depends what your reading too.. i can scan a page retain the message and the numbers in a second on a news page, but if it's something i'm not familiar with there's no way i could do that and I'd slow down to a crawl to assure retention.
it's not how fast you read, it's what you are reading and what you retain from it.
