I used to smoke marijuana all the time for over a decade, and finally had to stop due to a chronic cough that I had developed. After years of non-use, I started using cannabis again, although this time around, I primarily ingest my cannabis via a vaporizer or through edibles (including edibles made from the leftover vape material).
Smoking and breathing in smoke is unhealthy. Therefore, I strongly advocate that people switch to safer alternatives for enjoying the medical and recreational effects of cannabis.
