I bought the
Zojirushi rice cooker about a year ago. I'll make 2-3 cups of rice and it stays hot, fresh, and moist (I like my rice like my vagina) for up to 4-5 days. One of my favorite kitchen appliance purchases.
Totally unrelated to beef teriyaki but since I always have extra rice around the house I threw together a Mexican rice side dish that's been pretty good. I just sauté some garlic with some olive oil and butter then add the already-cooked rice. Sprinkle on some cumin, black pepper, and cayenne/chipotle. Cook that for a moment then I'll add some chicken broth and tomato sauce and reduce it down for a bit. I'll randomly add jalapeno/onion/bell pepper/whatever.
Cheap and tasty.
