Catholic Priests live in housing provided for them by the church. They are paid very little. Everything they have is provided by the church, as they are lifetime, lifelong servants. They don't actually own much. Sometimes they own their cars, however.

And what is the level of education for this other man you mention? I know that my Pastor has a doctorate level degree. His wife has a law degree. Both of them also teach part time at the local university. My pastor is not rich, but he is not poor, and our church tries to pay full time staff members approximately 80% of the amount they would make in the general employment arena based on their level of education. But our church has 2300 members.

My father pastored a church of about 100. He made very, very little.
