I was talking with my butcher a few months back, he said that there's more salt in the seasoned supermarket pork, than he has in his cured ham, that's a mind fuck. And beer, I think they have said is now good for you (aside from the additional calories) I don't drink pop, so a few wobbly pops on a Friday or the odd day of the week aren't gonna kill me.

Great points

Moderation really is the key. Indeed. You cant overdo stuff like: Mayo, sugar, corn syrup, pork ect but a lil will do no harm.
Yep you just have to avoid the fat in meats (beef) which is easily done. Pork it is hard to avoid all fat. Skinless chicken has virtually no fat. Fresh meat is certainly good for you.
Beer I believe is also great for you but it is liquid carbs and drinking 2-3/day may slow down weight loss so they say. Of course bottom line it is overall calories that count.
But eliminating certain foods helps the calorie battle. I call it the "Dont Buy It Diet". Everything starts with our decisions in the supermarket. Make a list and STICK to it I guess
Pop would have been a good replacement for chicken and beef in this poll. Both sugared pop and diet (aspartame) pop. These polls I make are never perfect

I do drink nothing but water or beer so pretty good there.
