But I hear ya. Simple carbs, like pasta, and oils like dressing and corn chips (if eating too many which is like only 10 or so) are the real prob.
Proteins are good in almost any quantity. Cause after a while (Atkins Diet) you begin to crave carbs if all you have is protein. Can really only eat so much protein as the body doesnt seem to crave it the same as carbs.
