I always hold the door open when the distance of the next person is reasonable. The only thing I find irritating is when they walk through without a thank you. But, that doesn't stop me from doing it again the next time.
I also get irritated when I let someone out of a side street when there is lined up traffic and I don't get a wave for doing so.
Those are my tiny irritations when traveling throughout the day.
