That's pretty much how Thais fight. They will gang jump foreigners any chance they get, usually with weapons, and the law does nothing about it 9.9 out of 10 times. Then if the foreigner wins and harms any of the mass of Thais who jumped him, he has to pay for ALL of their med bills and cash them out on top of it. If they get really hurt, they charge the foreigner with attempted murder.
