1. Its a UK law, so any sites outside the UK will not have to do anything.
2. People will simply use fake info. Sites will set up to tell them how to hide there info. They will just set up fake facebook accounts.
The simple option is such as facebook and twitter to simply provide advice to people.
I tell people to simply never read private messages sent to you on twitter. I am not sure why twitter does not alow you to turn this off.
Facebook could alow you to have a much higher security option if you wanted. One thought I had was if you were under the age of 16, to get facebook accounts you would have to do this at your school using a headmasters facebook computer account. By this schools would have to apply to facebbok for a school account and students could anly get an account if the headmaster approved it. It would reduce the liklyhood of people pretending to be kids on facebook two. If they realy wanted to facebook could request id from everyone before they got a facebook account.
