What made "Men" wasn't the actors, it was the writing. It was a funny show. If his new show doesn't live up to Men, he'll be out of work quickly.

It's true that writing makes it, but the character has to be there in order to facilitate the type of writing.... So the actor playing the part, has to be able to deliver the kinds of lines that are really funny. I agree that after Charlie, "Men" wasn't funny, and that says a lot about the character that Charlie played, and the lines that the writers were able to feed him. Without him, there was no vehicle for that funny writing. I'm betting that this new show will basically be him playing a very similar character to what he played on "men", and therefore potentially very funny.
