I agree that after Charlie, "Men" wasn't funny, and that says a lot about the character that Charlie played, and the lines that the writers were able to feed him. Without him, there was no vehicle for that funny writing. I'm betting that this new show will basically be him playing a very similar character to what he played on "men", and therefore potentially very funny.

I think it's funnier now. I never really liked him. This last season started out really bad, but it did get pretty good later on and I was laughing pretty good during each episode.
