Anybody who knows me knows that I'm no liberal.
But for Christ's sake, there are many people of every color buried in the ground of Arlington Cemetery and every other US veteran's cemetery around the world. Knock it off. We're all Americans, and like in any family, no matter any individual's problems or shortcomings, we have more that unites all of us than should ever divide or separate us. Most racism disappears really quickly in the Army because the only color that's relevant is green. Maybe we make a big mistake as a country that we don't have mandatory military service. I have a hunch that a lot of this racial baiting would simmer down pretty fast - and permanently - if we did. People form a team when a common threat opposes them and it changes how they think, especially about race.
