Thinking out loud here... Aren't the Root DNS servers under Verisign's control / authority?
Maybe Manwin would like to merge with / buy OpenDNS and / or CloudFlare to "accelerate" the Internet (and pick up a nice revenue-stream and tech-companies with a really great teams along the way) and along the way now have control over many, many users DNS querries... You get where I'm going with this?
