He's informing you as a representative or person otherwise associated with the offending sites that they are full of his stolen content. NO ATTORNEY told you that you are in a strong position to file a winnable lawsuit as "you" could easily be construed as a reference to the company which you already admitted association with, or was a case of mistaken identity as you've claimed (in which case, all your points are moot anyway).

You definitely didn't talk to an attorney early Saturday morning to inform him of your ground breaking, Supreme Court bound lawsuit over remarks on a forum where the user has a legitimate gripe and which also can be interpreted in several ways.
